Our Team

Every child deserves the best chance for a bright future.

That’s why we are fiercely committed to ensuring children not only survive, but thrive. Bold in our ambition and powerful in our care, we do whatever it takes to support Tanzanian’s children.

CODEWA is the product of a fruitful cooperation between people from different horizons and backgrounds.

Our operational team is mainly composed of Tanzanian school teachers who are in contact with kids every day and are very much aware of their needs.

Our overseas members are mainly researchers from various part of the world that consistently try to bring new ideas based on current research.

All together, we thrive to take the best from our various cultures and backgrounds to find innovative ways to support our orphans and vulnerable children.

We are always looking for talents that want to bring new ideas to best support our project.

Pierre Rialland CHAIRMAN Pierre is an Environmental and Social Performance Monitoring (ESPM) officer at Alterfin i.e. a Belgian cooperative that invests in sustainable agriculture and microfinance. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Essex and a Masters in Public Policy and Development from Toulouse School of Economics. In the past 7 years, he has gained practical experience of economic development through work placements in various environments such as international organisations (UNIDO), consultancies (ICF International) or a research center on economic development (IRD). Living in different countries and evolving constantly in multicultural environments has strengthened his conviction that the two major impediments that can prevent young individuals from living their dreams is education and health. Since these two dimensions are at the heart of CODEWA, it became clear that being part of the team and contribute to empower children was a project he really wanted to be part of.
